Economics of Micro finance

Background:   Micro finance, the backbone of financial inclusion, is fraught with a number challenges like adverse selection, moral hazard and monitoring which are mitigated through various conventional forms of interventions which no longer look economically feasible. What are some of the international best practices and innovations in rural credit delivery?

Objectives:  The objective of this five day programme, led by leading international faculty, is to answer this question with case studies on best practices, focusing on key challenges in micro finance delivery and how different countries have addressed these challenges.

Target audience: Government, Central bank, commercial banks, development finance institutions and micro finance institutions.
