Evaluating Social Programs

Background:   Scientific measurement of poverty programs is a prerequisite for better policy making to combat poverty, which is a key enabler of development. There are a large number of institutions like banks, NGOs, the Central and State governments, which are engaged in various programs of poverty eradication.

Objectives:  In this context, this five day program has been designed for people from a variety of backgrounds to provide a thorough understanding of randomized evaluation and a pragmatic step-by-step training in conducting one’s own evaluation. The program will be delivered by top ranking international faculty from Harvard and MIT.

Target audience: Officers implementing various rural schemes from Banks, NGOs, development financial institutions, central bank, central government and state government.
